WASHINGTON (AP) ? Mitt Romney's campaign says President Barack Obama's policies aren't working in large part because Obama lacks executive leadership experience.
Romney campaign adviser Eric Fehrnstrom says Americans turned over the world's largest economy to someone who had no prior executive leadership experience. In contrast, Fehrnstrom points to Romney's role in running the 2002 Winter Olympics and his term as Massachusetts governor.
Adding to the questions about Obama's economic policies is Friday's poor jobs report. The unemployment rate rose to 8.2 percent for May.
Obama campaign official Stephanie Cutter says jobs are being added but that the rate isn't fast enough. She says Congress has failed to act on policies aimed at putting construction workers and teachers back to work.
The campaign advisers appeared on ABC's "This Week."
